Transformation recruitment

Transformation is one area of recruitment whereby a firm seeks to improve the current skillset of its staff, rather than employ new staff. It is often seen as a cost effective way of meeting new recruitment needs of a business. This is because no new staff are employed and no old staff are made redundant. Instead staff are trained in an area that assists the businesses new focus.
Staff will therefore be motivated as their employer is investing in them and their skills rather than simply disposing of them when their current skillset no longer meet the needs and objectives of the business.
External businesses have developed to oversee the transformation of other business's employeese. One such business states that it's core aims in this respect are "developing teams and most importantly people."
Transformation of people is one of the methods that businesses adn the public sector seek to improve the performance of staff and enter new markets when a recruitment freeze is in place. It is one of the options being considered by governments across Europe as public spending cuts result in recruitment freezes.
