Transdev York Unibus route 44

The 44 Unibus is a bus route operated by Transdev York running between University of York, York City Centre and York Railway Station. This service was launched in 2010 by York Pullman due to First York refusing to extend service 4 to the New campus and extending service 6 to the new campus from Osbaldwick which was very unpopular. In February 2011 York Pullman sold the 44 Unibus along with all their other operations to Transdev York, they also sold the Olympians which were branded for the Unibus to Transdev. However in 2012 Transdev have been renewing all of the unibus fleet with Low floor buses and is now All Low floor operated. The unibus was runner up in the UK best bus awards 2012. The Unibus Scheme is run by Transdev York and in partnership with University of York.
