Tracxta

The tracXta is a band based in Imphal, Manipur, India. Formed in 2009, the band have released three songs "Leiningdre", "Khangbida" and "Wakhalda". The tracXta band has adapted the form of Alternative Rock since its inception in the year 2009. The band is inspired by music styles of bands like Pearl Jam, Linkin Park and Alterbridge.
History
Initially, it all started when the band members namely- Rockyson Karam, Armstrong Kom and Biswanath Moirangthem were studying in the same school- The Tiny Tot's Unique School, Impha. All the band members (Telheiba Sagolsem joined after the official announcement of the band in 2009) were very keen on music and song writing. The band members were highly influenced by the lyrical and musical sensation of bands like Pearl Jam in the mid 90s.
In the 2000s, the band's vocalist, Rockyson Karam, and lead guitarist, Armstrong Kom, started performing at small events like school functions. They started writing many songs in their own crude way dedicated to youth, love and friendship. But due to lack of support, time, instruments and experience, they had to wait for the right time. After passing higher secondary examination, all of them joined the Paavai Institutions affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai in 2009 for their Bachelor of Engineering in different departments. Here the band members met their fourth member, Telheiba Sagolsem (rhythm and vocal), and they decided to form a band called The tracXta prior to their launch of song "Leiningdre" in October, 2011. In 2012, the band joined with Yogesh Thangjam, one of their seniors at school and also in their college, for the upcoming project "Khollao-The Voice from The Void".
Leiningdre
"Leiningdre" was the first official production of tracXta and it was released in October, 2011. The song is based on the atrocities and heinous act of violence by the military forces posted in Manipur and the grievances of the common man.
Khangbida
"Khangbida" was the second production of tracXta and it was released in August 2012. The song is a romantic song with poetic verses.
Wakhalda
"Wakhalda" was the 3rd production of tracXta and it was released in September 2013. The song is a romantic song.
Upcoming project
"Khollao- The Voice from The Void" is the upcoming project of the band and it is written by Biswanath Moirangthem in collaboration with Yogesh Thangjam (Band Advisor). It will be probably released soon.
