Tracx is a New York City-based developer of a social media management software-as-a-service product founded in 2008. In May 2011, a content distribution module and an analytics module were added and the product was officially released. Tracx raised an initial $1.1 million dollars in series A funding, followed by $4.4 million in series B funding in February 2012. The funding was committed to user interface improvements and international expansion. Investors included Flybridge Capital Partners and Revel Partners. It differentiates from competitors largely on the basis of its data and analytics prowess. As of February 2012, the firm had 180 customers, including Coca Cola, Interpublic Group and Porter Novelli.
