Tony Maietta is an American film historian, author, producer, and actor. He specializes in the "Golden Age" of Hollywood and formed the company Silent Partners with partner Jeffrey Vance for his professional activities. He began his career as an actor and appeared in many television and film projects, most notably the independent film The Edge Of Seventeen (1998). His work as a film historian includes numerous DVD audio commentaries and documentaries. As an author, he co-wrote Douglas Fairbanks (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences/University of California Press, 2008) with Jeffrey Vance.
