Jason Brubaker

Jason Brubaker is a Hollywood based Independent Motion Picture Producer and an expert in Internet movie marketing and distribution. As an author and public speaker, Jason often speaks at film festivals, where he shares his methods with the independent filmmaking community on how to grow a fan base, build buzz and create community around each movie title.
Biography
Jason Brubaker grew up in Pennsylvania, where he also attended Bloomsburg University. After college, he moved to New York City, where he worked on several independent movies. After spending a year in New York, he moved to Los Angeles and produced his first feature film. He stared sharing his movie producing tips on a website called Filmmaking Stuff, which made the MovieMaker Magazine list of the top 50 websites in the world for filmmakers.
Jason is a contributing author of The Independent's Guide to film distributors, he is the founder of Filmmaking Stuff, a professional resource for independent film-makers, and his articles on independent movie marketing, distribution and film production have been featured in Film Slate, The Independent and Movie Maker Magazine.
Film Industry
Over the past decade, Jason Brubaker has worked professionally as an independent film producer and distributor. As a Producer, Jason has produced several independent motion pictures, including; Earl’s Your Uncle(2004), Special Dead(2006), Rattle Basket(2007), Toxic Soup(2011) and Carrier Courier: The Labor of Love(2011).
In addition to producing movies, Jason Brubaker currently serves as the Director of Operations for Distribber, a Los Angeles based movie distribution company. Focused on helping filmmakers get their movies seen and selling on popular VOD platforms like iTunes, Amazon and Hulu, Brubaker has managed the distribution of dozens of movies.

Books
Jason has authored several books in relation to the film industry. Titled after his website, Filmmaking Stuff provides a step-by-step guide on how filmmakers can make, market and sell their movies without Hollywood. His second book, 101 Short Film Ideas is geared towards new filmmakers who want to make and market short movies.
In 2011 Brubaker contributed to the free ebook The Modern Moviemaking Movement with Norman C. Berns, Gordon Firemark, Tom Malloy, Carole Dean, Peter D. Marshall, Gary King, Sheri Candler and Jon Reiss.
Additionally, Jason is a contributing author of The Independent's Guide to film distributors.
