TONY KLINGER

Film-maker, production executive, director, screenwriter and academic in the UK and US

Tony has just premiered his film Full Circle and is now readying several more films for production including The Man Who Got Carter about his late father, Michael Klinger. Until the end of 2006, Tony was Chief Executive of production-company, agency, and content creators, TLMH. Tony has an international reputation as a company leader, hands-on production executive, writer, producer and director.

Tony has served on many international boards, such as the Association of Media Practice Educators (AMPE) and The Audition for Hollywood Company.
Tony was born in Hackney, London. Whilst still at school Tony won two national first prizes from sponsored writing competitions and together with some pals ran a successful underground school magazine called Fanfare.
By the age of 18 Tony was making his own small professional films that received public distribution.
Presently Tony has a couple of films in development and his internet business and service, www.bCreativeLimited.com launched in 2008.


AWARDS

2004-6 Ten awards for his company work at TLMH. 2000 (Northern Film School) 9 Fuji Film Scholarship Awards including: Best Production, Most Commercial Film, Best Direction, 10 Kodak Commercial Prizes, The Queens Anniversary Award for Education 1998-1999 (Bournemouth Film School), The San Sebastian Award for The Kids are Alright, The London Film Festival for Extremes. In progress: Full Circle (2008): feature length documentary (co-producer and director) by Tony Klinger and Arnon Manor released January 2008.

Screenplays: Closed Circuit, and 4Kicks in production 2008-9. Death and Taxes. The Man Who Got Carter: a documentary about the life and work of British Film producer, Michael Klinger, who made films such as Get Carter.

1969 Co-produced, directed and wrote The Festival Game, documentary on the Cannes Film Festival which remains one of the most widely released documentary films in the history of British Cinema.
