Anthony Wayne Cupito (born September 13, 1985) is the drummer for the indie rock band The Shys. He is credited as the drummer on the band's new album You'll Never Understand This Band The Way That I Do. Cupito grew up in San Clemente, California, just a few years behind his future band mates Kyle Krone, Alex Kweskin, and Chris Wulff. Cupito joined the group in early 2007 after the departure of original drummer Mike Walker. Cupito has a reputation as a phenomenal live drummer, "among the best drummers you'll ever see" said Las Vegas publication Mojo Republik. Cupito has played with many bands throughout his teens but most notably The Shys. During live concerts he will occasionally be joined for a song by friend and fellow drummer Brandon Young of the San Diego Indie rock band Delta Spirit. |
