Todd Michael Burman ( Born 23 March 1977) is a songwriter and musician. Born in Melbourne, Australia to his Australian mother and Welsh father, Todd is known for being a founding member of Australian rock band Juke Kartel for ten years. Todd is a multi instrumentalist, Guitar / Bass / Piano, and has played over 2000 shows as a musician over the last twelve years. During his time as a songwriter of Juke Kartel, Todd was a creative force on all three commercially released records Nowhere Left to Hide, Levolution and Acoustic Sessions and all commercially released singles. Todd's songwriting and producing includes Rock, Pop, R & B, Blues and Instrumental Scoring. Live Performance During his days as a live performing musician in Melbourne Australia, Todd played in several bands and cover bands for over seven years performing over 320 shows a year for seven years. During his time in Juke Kartel Todd toured the globe with the likes of Nickelback, Slash, Myles Kennedy, Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne, Andrew Stockdale, Seether, Tommy Lee, Dave Navarro, Gilbey Clarke, and The Used playing shows all over the globe including multiple tours of Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and Norway.Todd has played session shows in Los Angeles and Alaska as both a guitarist and bassist, including performing with Toryn Green from Fuel. Songwriting Collaborations Todd has co-written with many artists including multi platinum artist Jason Singh,, Rusty Brown from Electric Mary, Mark Furze, New Zealand's Laural Barrett, Australian Idol Szilva Vecserdy to name but a few. As a songwriter Todd writes, produces and records at his studio, Danger Centro Studio's in Los Angeles. As a Multi Instrumentalist and engineer, he writes varying styles from Pop, Rock, Heavy Rock, Blues, R & B and Instrumental scoring. Todd's songs have featured in Australian surf film and most recently as a co-writer on LA rock band Paperback Hero's latest single "Breath Of Time". Todd's songwriting on commercially released singles from Juke Kartel "If Only" and "Soulshaper" have been played all across radio stations in the United States. Current Single "Soulshaper" showcases Todd's use of alternate tunings, as Todd wrote and composed the music to this track. Philanthropy To help raise money for Los Angeles based charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Todd co-wrote "Brightest Star" to help raise money to fight breast cancer in women in America. In 2010 Juke Kartel filmed a video with Todd performing Piano, which was shown across America on CBS and NBC to help raise money for American women fighting breast cancer.
