Fast Lady have been an active band for over 10 years, released one album, appeared on 4 compilation albums and released 2 singles. Formed in Sheffield in 2000 by Pepe Florente and Sebastian Falkstaff. The band moved to South Manchester in 2001 and were joined by Bud Stricken who completed the line up.
The bands sound is that of a traditional Heavy Metal or "Cock Rock" act with vocals provided in several different styles from the genre by Sebastian Falkstaff and Pepe Florente. Although none of the band actually play instruments. All sounds are computer generated through the use of music software packages such as Fruity Loops, Reaktor and bespoke Virtual Studio Technology created by the band.
Using Virtual Studio Technology to recreat a live sounding 4 piece band is unique to the Fast Lady sound. They have perfected the use of advanced programing techniques to recreat the solo sound of guitar, bass and drums. This technique has become known as "Cocktronica"
After recording then submitting their demo to V/Vm Test Records "The Loaded Gun E.P"(2003) two of the tracks "Lady" and "Hooray 4 Rock" were included on the compilation (2003)
A further track from this demo "God Saved Rock n Roll" was featured on a further V/Vm Test release .(2004)
The bands debut album The Money Shot (2004) followed.
The Money Shot received 3/5 stars in the UK music magazine Uncut and they went on to play live with Hot Chip and Zodiac Mindwarp as part of the promotion for the album.
Muzik described Fast Lady as “the new, NEW wave of British Heavy Metal”…
The band returned in 2007 with a split 7" single with the Australian artist Scorpio Scorpio This was to be their last release for the V/Vm TEST label.
After a hiatus of 3 years the band released new material in 2009: a single on Digital Vomit Records and a live album their own Bubblegunner recordings.
