Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center is a for-profit drug addiction, eating disorder, and psychiatric treatment facility located in Lemont, Illinois, a Chicago suburb located in DuPage County. It is a 164-bed residential facility that is accredited by The Joint Commission, a United States’ healthcare accrediting organization.
History
Founded in 2005 by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists and clinicians, Timberline Knolls provides treatment services for adolescent girls and adult women who are suffering from eating disorders, substance abuse and addiction, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. The center expanded in 2008, and now operates four residential lodges.
Programming
Programming at Timberline Knolls is designed to address all areas of clinical concern simultaneously. The girls and women who attend treatment at Timberline Knolls receive a treatment plan that may consist of traditional individual and group talk therapy, and expressive therapies such as art therapy, equine therapy, dance therapy, and yoga. Treatment planning at Timberline Knolls is typically trauma-focused, and staff employ the use of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), a treatment used to reduce symptoms of trauma.
