Tim Lang (b. 11 January, 1966, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a business executive and ran in the 2004 Canadian Federal Election losing narrowly to Bev Oda M.P. Lang lost to Oda by less than 2% and during the campaign advocated the Romanow Report health care enhancements and the implementation of the early learning concepts by Dr. Fraser Mustard to help families in need. Oda was vocal about the Gomery Report and that the Liberal Government needed to be defeated after 11 years in power. Lang received his Master's degree in Political Science from University of Manitoba and his B.A. from St. Francis Xavier University. Tim Lang's father, Otto Lang, was a Cabinet Minister (Justice, Energy, Transport, Wheat Board), in the government of Prime Minster Pierre Trudeau between 1968 and 1979. Tim Lang has held executive and senior management positions at Energy Savings Income Fund, Bell Canada, and Xerox. Active in non-profit organizations and has served on board's in Toronto and Montreal (Childrens Aid Foundation and Toujours Ensemble) and active in sport, having Captained the University of Manitoba Bison's Football team and also played with St. Francis Xavier University.
