Tiger Racing
Tiger Racing is a British kit car manufacturer formed in 1989 specialising in Lotus Seven type cars and racing cars. The company was based in London until 1998, then moved to Thorney Toll, Cambridgeshire. One of tigers sports cars appeared on Channel 5s 5th Gear with Tiff Needell driving a Z100 to the worlds fastest 0-60 mph time of 2.8secs.
The Tiger Avon
The tiger avon is considered to be Tigers entry level model, and can be fitted with many different engines including the Ford Zetec, the Ford OHC and some motorcycle engines. The tiger avon consists of a steel spaceframe chassis with fully independent suspension and a fibreglass body. The Tiger Avon was formerlly the Phoenix Automotive Avon Sprint. Tiger purchased this project, and modified the chassis and suspension to their requirements.
