Company History Charlie Pigeon founded Tigé Boats in 1991.He began work on a new inboard boat design, the 2000slm Comp. An innovative tournament-type inboard, the 2000slm Comp was named "Rookie of the Year" by Waterski Magazine for its cutting-edge approach to ski boat design. Charlie still remains CEO to this day. Tigé is now a prominent manufacturer in the inboard industry. Timeline 1991 -- Charlie Pigeon founds Tigé Boats, Inc. 1994 -- Tigé relocated heaquarters from Merced, CA to Abilene, TX for a more centralized distribution location. 1995 -- Tigé Introduced TAPS technology which received a US patent and dramatically chaged the watersport versatility and performance. 1998 -- Tigé released the 21V Rider's Edition, specifically build for wakeboarding.award. 2003 -- Both the ConvexV Hull and TAPS2 technology received patents. The patented ConvexV Hull is designed as a non planing hull. This paired with the Tigé TAPS2 technology, allows the driver a choice of planing the boat instantly for a faint slalom wake, or allowing the boat to settle naturally into the water. Also in 2003, the LifePlus Core Stringer system was introduced as well as the LifePlus Lifetime Replacement Warranty -- the only replacement warranty in the industry. 2006 -- Tigé opened its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Abilene, TX. The 130,000 sq. ft. complex triples Tigé's production capacity and boosts operating efficiency and product quality. The new headquarters includes a dedicated Product Development and Engineering facility.
