Tierazon

Tierazon is a fractal-generating computer program written in the C programming language in 1997 for Microsoft Windows by Stephen C. Ferguson. Tierazon was initially released as freeware but currently a $25 fee is required to download it from Ferguson's site.

Tierazon has an uncomplicated GUI interface with a number of functions. It produces a variety of rich images, often with spectacular colour. Tierazon has 117 built-in algorithms and it is easy for the user to specify custom ones. It has a rich array of 53 filters that can completely change the look of the image. The program saves files in BMP file format. It draws in Julia mode, allows inside-out rendering and does anti-aliasing by a linear factor of 2. There are three independent color controls. Tierazon has few bugs and runs fast. It also allows the user to make fractal movies by specifying the start and end of a zoom sequence.

The Tierazon ZIP file is 303 kb. There is no installation — it is enough to put the executable and Dynamic-link library files in the same directory and start the exe file.
