Thorkell Atlason

Thorkell Atlason (Icelandic Þorkell Atlason, born 1964 in Reykjavík) is a Rotterdam School composer currently residing in Iceland. He studied with, amongst others, Atli Heimir Sveinsson in Reykjavik and with Klaas de Vries and Rene Uijlenhoet at the Rotterdam Conservatory. Although he also wrote instrumental music, he is known to be a specialist in using electronic means, especially concerning his works fully composed using CSound.

Atlason is currently working in Reykjavík both as a composer and a teacher.
