Thomas C. Mercaldo is an American entreneur, software professional, business executive and author. He played a key role in the creation of consulting, software, alternative energy and services businesses. He authored 13 books related to Scouting. Publications Thomas Mercaldo has authored 13 books including The Scout Riddle Book, Superior Campfires , The Scout Puzzle Book, Scout Skits, Scout Jokes , Scoutmasters Minutes, Along the Scouting Trail , More Scout Skits , Scout Cheers, Run on’s and Even More Scout Skits , Scoutmaster’s Minutes II, Sequassen Secrets and Campfire Tales. Business Leadership Thomas Mercaldo has worked as President and co-founder of Aquinas Consulting since July 2000. Aquinas Consulting is a leading Information Technology and Engineering Consulting and Placement firm headquartered in Milford, CT. Aquinas also has branch offices in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Utah and Minnesota. Before joining Aquinas Consulting, Mr. Mercaldo was employed by Condor Technology Solutions. He joined Condor as part of the acquisition of LINC Systems Corporation. In his role as Vice President of the Consulting and Solutions Division he managed a collection of branches including, Stamford, CT, New York City, Dallas, Phoenix and Oklahoma City]]. Earlier with LINC Systems he established a new branch locations in Stamford, CT and New York City. Prior to joining Condor, he was the Operations Manager of the Connecticut/Mid Hudson Valley Branch of Keane, Inc ( ). During his 5 years at Keane, he managed an operation that grew revenue at a 68% annual rate. (growth from 3.8M to 52.5M in revenue over 5 years.) At the time of his departure, he oversaw the successful delivery of 52 million in services and managed a staff of more than 600 consultants. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mercaldo worked in various capacities at General Electric and the Geary Corporation, During this time he completed coursework at GE’s prestigious management training program at Crotonville. He also obtained an MBA from The University of New Haven, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Fairfield University. Mr. Mercaldo served on the Board of Directors of Sageworks, Inc, as President of Wheeler Cross, and as secretary of Exulans, Inc. He played a key role in business concept formation for these organizations. Community Service Thomas Mercaldo was awarded the Medal of Merit from the United States Congress for community service. He also was a recipient of the Award in 1981 and received the District Award of Merit from the Connecticut Yankee Council, Boy Scouts of America.
