Objective and Mission of ΘΝΠ
Mission
"We are the change we wish to see in the world: creative individuals working collectively for all."

Objective
We will stand up and demand the rights of all people in intersecting hierarchies through activism; philanthropy, collectivism through sisterhood and education. No one will stand in our way regardless of tradition; convention, assumption, or popular trends. We are fully capable to create change outside of broken systems.

History
Theta Nu Pi was founded by eight individuals who were looking for a place where they could gain the gifts of sisterhood while remaining true to themselves. In the September 2008 the founders began efforts to create a sorority that would be accepting of all people. The founding members included Gretchen Garcia, Kelly Campana, Kip Keaton, Joel Swartz, Megan Milanese, Courtney Kurtyka, Derrick Cuomo, & Brittany Jean.

Symbols
The Sorority colors are fuchsia, black, and silver. As a group they chose two flowers to represent them the Titan Arum and the Lotus. The Phoenix is the sorority's mascot because of its brilliant colors and representation as a mythical animal symbolizing peerless beauty, rebirth, renewal, and restoration after suffering calamity or apparent annihilation.

Philanthropy
Human Rights Campaign (also known as HRC) is an organization that works toward "an America where gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people are ensured equality and embraced as full members of the American family at home at work and in every community"
