Theodore Steinberg

Born circa 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, Rabbi Theodore Steinberg was a Conservative rabbi ordained at The Rabbinical School of the Jewish Theological Seminary. Upon retiring from serving as a pulpit rabbi, he moved to Jerusalem, Israel. at New York University on the life of the rabbinics scholar Max Kadushin; Steinberg's work was the first scholarly volume on Kadushin's life and studies.
In later life, Steinberg served (starting in 1996) as Associate Editor of the Jewish Bible Quarterly and volunteered regularly at the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens. and the triennial cycle of Torah reading).
Rabbi Steinberg died in 2009.
