Cara Weinstein Rosenthal

Cara Weinstein Rosenthal (born 10 January 1975)is an American rabbi. She is a member of the Rabbinical Assembly, which is the rabbinical body of Conservative Judaism. He was born in West Hartford and educated and degreed at the University of Pennsylvania where she completed a major in psychology. Her Rabbinic training was at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City where she obtained a Masters of Hebrew Letters as well as Rabbinic Ordination.

While at JTS, Rabbi Rosenthal concentrated her studies on the subject of Jewish philosophy. She is particularly interested in theology and the issue of faith in the post-Holocaust age. Rabbi Rosenthal is also passionate about the study of the Bible and rabbinic commentaries on the Bible.
Her goal as a Rabbi is to make Jewish knowledge and tradition accessible and exciting to modern Jews - and to all who seek to understand it.

She has previously served as the Rabbi of Congregation B'nai Israel in Freeport, Long Island, New York. She has also served as a visiting Rabbi for the High Holidays (Yamim Nora'im) 5767 at Temple Israel, Vestal, New York, in 5768 at Congregation Agudat Achim in Schenectady, NY, and in 5769 at Congregation Kenesset Israel Synagogue in Pittsfield, MA.
She is the sister of Rabbi Risa Weinstein, and together they are the first two sisters to be ordained as Conservative Rabbis.
She is married to Dr. David Rosenthal and resides in East Hills, NY. They are members of Temple Beth Sholom in Roslyn Heights, NY.
