The Worst Towns in the U.S.A.

The Worst Towns in the U.S.A (Taj Books, 2005, ISBN 1-84406-065-9) is a book by British author Maurice Crow. It is an American version of his The Worst Towns in the U.K., in which the author sent out a number of investigators, dubbed "spies", to comb the United States, looking for "awful" towns "which for one reason or another you wouldn't want to live in." The author used criteria such as quality of life (both for the town and state), income, employment, crime, and leisure amenities.
