Republican Socialism

A political idiology current in Europe, particularily in Ireland and Scotland.

It is a sepratist idiology, confined to a culture, with a strong socilist overlay.

Scotland

Scotlands SRSM is the umberella group, containing a number of smaller parties. Formed from the Scottish Socialist Republican Clubs.

Wales, Man and Cornwall

Mec Vennin of the Isle of Man, Plaid Cymru and Cornish nationalists would loosely fit into the genre.

Influences

James Connolly, the trade union leader, is the main influence in Scotland and Ireland. Socialism is taken from Marx, and tends to be confined to economics, with a strong Christian overlay on traditional moral issues.
