The Romantic is a feature-length animated film created by Michael Heneghan. Heneghan worked without the support of a major producer in his free time to create this film. The film is set to be out of post-production in mid January 2009 and will start a festival tour in April of that year. Plot Summary The story takes place in fictional Vauxhall, a land that is governed by the four gods: Po, the Goddess of Love; Pik, the Lord of Hate; Pjorrc, the God of Time; and Obble-Dee-Puh Puh, the God of all Gods and Creator of Things. The protagonist, Romance, blames the Gods for the loss of a past love and sets out to destroy them and free the people of Vauxhall from oppression. Along the way, he befriends Patience, an alcoholic, who serves as his mentor during his journey. |
