The Renaissance of Classical Music

The Renaissance of Classical Music was a performance project by the classical music artist Amadéus Leopold, initiated his Paris debut at Louvre in September 2008. Then known under his Korean first name Hahn-Bin, Leopold officially launched Renaissance in Omaha, Nebraska at the Holland Performing Arts Center on March 30, 2010, describing it as “an all-encompassing project which aims to bring the quarantined genre into the mainstream pop culture.”
The project included the recitals Behemoth, Renaissance, The Five Poisons, Soliloquy for Andy Warhol, and Till Dawn Sunday, as well as the orchestral project Still Life at Carnegie Hall, featured on the Today Show in 2011.
The final Renaissance installment Till Dawn Sunday resulted in the documentary film The Renaissance of Hahn-Bin for Nowness prior to the artist's change of name in 2012.
