Russella

Russella (formerly known as Xtina Draguilera and born Russell Graham) is a British trained Dancer, Actor, Drag Performer, Compere and Host

Career
Surreal drag act Russella began his performance career playing the brother of Ted Hughes in an ITV drama documentary based on the Poet Laureate.
Russella is perhaps best known for his satirical and controversial show ‘Princess Die – through the eyes of a Queen’ which satirises the life of Diana, Princess of Wales and featured on CNNI. In the show Russella takes a surreal, farcical look at the passions and pressures of royalty told through a montage of film, dance, song and lip-synch performance. The show venerates our postmodern condition and its obsession with the media and the ephemeral trappings of celebrity. In a similar vein Russella’s second major show ‘Paris is Burning’ saturised the life of heiress Paris Hilton. Russella began his Drag queen career by becoming the winner of a ‘Tranny lip-synch’ competition. Since then, he has gone on to perform for the likes of comedien Matt Lucas as well as introduce Dita Von Teese on to stage at the 10th anniversary of department store Harvey Nichols in Leeds. He has been featured in magazines such as I.D, Tank and Time Out.
Russella’s shows are often darkly comic and cinematic pulling inspiration from a diverse range of film, music and modern day celebrity obsession.
