"The Randumb Show" is the longest running TV show in the history of the Pepperdine University broadcasting department, produced solely by students. The show has generated more people who go on to work in the entertainment industry than any other show on campus. Since Mike the show has seen various producers and formats. During the 2009-2010 season Seth Allison & Jeff Loveness produced the show with Grant Harling Directing and Kyle Helf and Mishy Turner as key contributors. This was the first year the show has been completely field produced. It took on more of a Monty Python's Flying Circus Feel. They Produced 6 episodes including a special 15 year Anniversary show in which they brought back Mike Richards and filmed on the set of The Price is Right with Drew Carey. The upcoming 2010-2011 season Seth Allison is back producing with Blake Curtis (Senior) and Hayden Christensen (Sophomore) as co-producers. The format will be similar to the last with possible in-studio production. History The show originated in 1995 When Michael G. Richards was kicked off the News team because he made too many jokes on air. He was allotted a space on what was then TV3 (later TV26, and currently TV32), Pepperdine's channel on Charter Cable. He hosted and produced the show in a late night talk show style where he would call up guests, roll a number of sketches and usually have a musical guest perform live.
