The Poet Of Witness is a debut poetry Collection by John Chizoba Vincent, published by Yagazie Books in 2025. It has 42 poems in total. Background The collection shows the Poet as a Witness to many happening in his Societ. He witnessed all and tried as much as possible to pen them everything he has witnessed. Like the moses and Isaiah of old, he tends to document these things for People of tomorrow. He witnessed the death of Former President of Nigeria Muhammad Buhari, he documented it. He witnessed the Endsars of 2020, he documented it. He witnessed the Chibok girls, he documented it. He witnessed the 2023 Nigerian Election, the Burial of Onyeka Onwelue, the death of at Lekki Tollgate and the massacre at the Lekki, Bigotry and he documented everything just as he has witnessed it. It chronological tell a story of lost, pains and agony about Nigerians living in Nigeria and the hardship they have been experiencing in the hands of their President from 2023 till date.
