The Neu Tickles

The Neu Tickles are a "space-rock superband" from Heilbronn Germany who are most widely known internationally for their song I M Ninja, used from November 2005 as a theme tune by the popular Ask a Ninja podcast written by underground satirist and musician Brently Heilbron.

The band's genre might be described as alternative rock with humorous sexual references. Their MySpace website lists them as being influenced by The Pixies, Morrissey, White Stripes, the Rolling Stones, and Velvet Underground. An unattributed American media review, quoted on the band's Myspace website describes them as a difficult-to-categorise "version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show starring the White Stripes, the B-52's, Morrissey and Stevie Nicks".

The band's members are: Horst Rotaugen ("Space Ukelele"), Inge Rotaugen ("Sexy Violin"), Felix Schneider ("Drum Skins"), Florian die Mouse ("Robotic Computerings"), Maxim Glitzer ("Sonic Guitar") and Mimi Vinyl ("Song Bird"). They appear to have been based and playing in Los Angeles in mid to late 2005.

Band promotional taglines include "Spread the Sexy!", "The Sexy is here!", and "Ja, gern!" (German for "Yes, gladly!")
