The Last Hope

The Last Hope is a streetpunk band formed in Johnstown, PA in 2000 and now based out of . The band's original members were Pist Hoff, Justun Wanted and Chippy. In 2005 the band's lineup expanded to 6 members; with 3 guitarists giving the group a raw and full live sound and the ability to layer multiple lead riffs over pounding melodies.

The current lineup consists of Justun Wanted (Vocals), Dylan Destruction (Bass), Jake Terror (Guitar), Skull (Guitar), Denman (Guitar), and Chippy (Drums).

The new lineup headed off on the national "Louder than Motörhead" tour in early 2005 with friends The Remnants from Chicago, IL. The tour made stops through the midwest, southwest and west coast. The band has been a feature at the Cornerstone Festival for the past couple years and plays regularly in Western PA and surrounding states with frequent weekend tours east to New York and west to Michigan and Chicago.

The band has its roots in the streetpunk genre but is also heavily influenced by '77 style punk and '80's rock-n-roll, as reflected in the band's long-time tagline "rot-n-rock-n-roll". Some of the band's motifs, lyrical and artistic symbolism make reference to themes common to horror punk.

The Last Hope is most known for their raw and powerful playing style and intense live performances. The energy and stage presence of the band allows for a raucous show, with friends and supporters often joining the band on stage to belt out gang vocals.

The Last Hope has produced several EPs since their founding in 2000, and their first pressed, full-length album "Violence, Vengeance, and Retribution" was released independently in July 2006.
