Background The Hunt: Mega Edition is the sequel to The Hunt: First Edition, which happened between March 15 to March 30, 2024. Over 34 million players competed, spending a total of 128 million hours, and completing 212 million quests. On March 13, 2025, Roblox tweeted "The Hunt: Mega Edition is live! Do you have what it takes to win a million dollars? Prove it." Many players could believe the million-dollar prize was real, so on March 4, 2025, David Baszucki confirmed it in a tweet. The tweet also confirmed the word "Mega" in the title of the event stood for 1 million. By the end of the event, 51.3 million normal tokens and 6.6 million mega tokens were collected. Games 25 games were in The Hunt: Mega Edition; Controversy Two controversies happened in the Hunt: Mega Edition. The first was regarding how hard the Infection Gunfight quest was. The second was regarding the top 10 finalists; many players were angry that many of the finalists knew each other and many of them were QA testers or Developers for Roblox.
