Axiom of Arcanum is a 2D isometric MORPG currently in development. What is the Game About? This game takes place in the medieval era. It has no levels, stats or skills but instead has a focus on exploration and unique items. While players can receive standard weapon and armor from NPC shops, dungeons or rare monster drops they can also find and receive rare magical items in the world and from quests. Quests are not focused on 'Kill x creatures' or 'Collect x trash items' to get XP & gold, instead focus on finding items in the world to help NPC's to receive unique and useful items. An example of this is the first quest chain, which takes the character to a deserted castle filled with undead to find a Shiny Belt (which is an upgrade from the first armor received). Upon returning this to the quest giver the player receives a Sapphire Necklace and a hint that a little girl is searching for it in the swamps to the west. After fighting past Slime monsters and navigating through the swampland the player will find a little girl who will accept this Sapphire Necklace and exchange it for a Magical Green Scroll. This quest reward can be used to transform in to a tree and blend in to the surroundings, making the player invincible and invisible to monsters as long as he/she does not move. History This game was created in 2016 by Dan Bilkey and is scheduled for alpha release in late 2016. Game art contributions are currently being added by Norferzllo.
