"The Human Fragment" is a highly anticipated contemporary full-length collection of street photography by Michael Ernest Sweet . The book is due to release from Brooklyn Arts Press in late 2013.

The book features many high published photographs from the sidewalks of New York City and beaches of Coney Island. Individual photographs from the book have appeared in Popular Photography Magazine, Black and White Magazine as well as on the Leica Camera blog and dozens of others building momentum for its publication.

Michael Ernest Sweet has gained recognition as a street photographer internationally over the past few years for his signature and instantly recognizable gritty monochrome images. His photographs feature close up, very close up, shots of the human body which often omit the person's face - an unusul trademark in street photography. 

Advance praise has been received from photographer Jay Maisel, Roger Ballen and Harold Feinstein among others. 

Brooklyn Arts Press will sell advance copies of the book through a pre-order process. All pre-ordered copies come hand-signed by the artist.
