The Heartstring Symphony

the Heartstring Symphony is a music collaborative created by Heather Porcaro, songwriter, & Alec Dixon, musician. The group also includes an ever-expanding group of musicians and performers. In October of 2009 the group began releasing their debut album, produced by Tony Berg, through www.theHeartstringSymphony.com.
"The Heartstring Symphony; the perfect name for a band of brilliantly bright young ragamuffins that do actually spin a 'symphonic' web of magical rock 'n roll, all their own. Singer and storyteller, Heather Porcaro, is a chanteuse for the future ...her voice made of sweetness and light, yet glittered on top with honesty and experience I've not seen since joe Jackson's New Wave masterpiece, 'Night & Day'. Her band is a gifted bunch of jazz babies, who do her romantic lyrics justice with a righteous mixture of rock, funk, YeYe, tropicalia and old fashioned pop. Together they make American love songs with a dance beat, by way of Jack Kerouac holding hands with Anna Karina in the make-belive Goddard movie of our dreams. Bless this Heartstring Symphony, as it has now become the soundtrack for my life." - Jennifer Brandt (Author and columnist for ELLEgirl Magazine)
