The Girl and The Dreamcatcher is an American pop band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2015. The band consists of Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan. In October 2015 they self-released a single named Written in the Stars. Career ===2014-2015: Formation and "Written in the Stars=== The Girl and The Dreamcatcher is made of Dove Cameron and Ryan, who met on the set of Liv and Maddie and are currently dating. On 2014, they started releasing covers from artists such as Selena Gomez on YouTube as Dove and Ryan. On 12 October 2014 they released they first original song named Someone You Like. On 29 September 2015 they announced the band name and that they would be releasing Written in the Stars, which premiered on Radio Disney on 1 October 2015, a day before the music video was released on their YouTube channel. It was ranked as one of the top 5 music videos for 2015. On 20 November 2015 they announced they were going to release two Christmas songs, Have Yourself a Merry Little Chtristmas and All I Want for Christmas is You.
