The Fanclub

The Fanclub is an English indie-rock band based in London. The band grew up in Bournemouth and attended the same school. The band is composed of Josh Todd (vocals, guitars, primary composer), Lewis Tobia (bass, primary lyricist) and Ben Morse (drums and harmonica). The Fanclub have released two E.Ps since their formation in Early 2007.

Formation
The Fanclub started in 2007 in the sea-side town of Bournemouth. The three long-time friends started in different bands in the area but after unsuccesful stints at establishing themselves on the music scene.
History
Echoing Greens and Bournemouth
The Fanclub released their two-track debut E.P in the Easter of 2007, it featured two original compositions of Echoing Greens and Top Ten. Whilst living in Bournemouth and finishing the last year of their A-levels, the band developed their own opinions on life and work leading to a flurry of creativity around this time.
Madman and London
After a summer of gigging in Bournemouth the band moved to London to seek coverage from a new scene. It took over six months of writing and rehearsing but the band finally recorded their second E.P - Madman. The five track E.P took The Fanclub to a new level and the band started gigging to support the release. The short album was reviewed by poet and part-time journalist Will Kerr for creative arts e-zine Fallyrag, the review claimed the E.P demonstrated "a musicality and lyricism of frightening maturity delivered with the assurance of a band capable of near enough anything"
