The Empire Martial Arts Association is a national martial arts organisation based in Scarborough, England. TEMAA presently includes divisions for Karate, Judo, Aikido, Jujutsu, Iaido and Chinese martial arts. The association organises several 'Budo workshops' per year at various locations. Empire Martial Arts was originally founded in 1994 as a Judo and Iaido group by Colin Hutchinson who was, at the time the UK Secretary of Japan's oldest martial arts fraternity the Kokusai Budoin (IMAF). The association is now a member of an independent governing body, the United Kingdom Budo Federation. TEMAA has a president, a chairman and two directors. Member clubs include The Bushinkai Academy, Empire Judo, Jukado Ryu Aikijujutsu and Niseikai Karate.
