Syed Gilani or Syed Zain Gilani was born in Lahore, Pakistan to a prominent business and political family of Pakistan on June 26, 1974. In his early age, he got a chance to travel with his father, Syed Munir Hussain Gilani, across the country and meet thousands of people and many dignitaries which slowly helped shape his leadership and communication skills. After completing his first master degree in Economics and Management, he joined his family business and also became active in the local politics with this father. Under his leadership, his company helped build the infrastructure in a prominent city of Pakistan, Faisalabad. He also worked closely with his father, Syed Munir Hussain Gilani, in promoting literacy and economic awareness in the country. After completingh is master degree he decided to join politics from Pakistan Peoples Party and Islamic Democratic Front platforms. He later became the President & CEO of Trans-Atlantic Business Solutions Inc., an international technology, research, marketing and training company, providing services in United States], United Kingdom, Middle East, and South Asian regions. BIZVI Group LLC is the parent company of BiZVI Grafics, BiZVI Training, and BIZVI UK.
Syed Gilani is the oldest son of Syed Munir Hussain Gilani, Pakistan's leading politician, Ex-State Minister of Education, and president of Islamic Democractic Front.
In addition to providing vision and leadership to a group of his businesses, Syed Gilani is very active in the local community. He regularly writes on business and technology related issues for Virgin Voice Magazine, a leading Virgin Islands publication. He also periodically gives lectures at Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center to help small and medium size businesses to grow furthre. Mr. Gilani also works closely with Virgin Islands Department of Labor and Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority to contribute towards economic development in the Virgin Islands.
During the presidential campaign of now President Barack Obama, Syed Gilani was selected by the Virgin Islands Democratic Convention to represent the territory on Economic Development issue and make a policy speech for the Obama Campaign. Syed Gilani also was influential and a part of the organizing committee for the St. Croix Economic Development Summit.
He is currently working with the Virgin Islands Department of Labor in developing America's first one-stop workforce system which will allow robust data management and interaction between the labor market stakeholders. This unique system will be first of its kind market based system allowing the local Departments of Education and Labor to effectively monitor and manage the growth of at-risk students and dislocated workers.
Syed Gilani has a master degree in Economics and Management and in Business Administration. He also has several certifications in marketing, product management and leadership. He has co-hosted Virgin Islands popular radio show Money Talk & More with Anthony Weeks at WSTX AM 970.
