The Development Productions

The Development Productions (also know as The Development), founded in 2009, is a New York City based media and production studio that develops and produces original content, including feature films, television programs, online experiences, short films, music videos, and experimental video and music work.
The Development employs unconventional production techniques and methodologies in constructing content. As a result, the studio's output is marked by its non-tradtional structures. Content is centered around observation of the human condition/experience: uncertainty, drama, humor and the extremity of human emotion.
The Development is currently unveiling the first part in a trilogy of feature film and online experiences entitled BEING (In the Woods, Into the Cave and Into the Studio).
ITW: pathway... In the Woods a walk into the core. The experience features Terrence Howard, Dave Matthews, Famke Janssen, Moby, Debra Winger, Temple Grandin, Will Shortz, Rufus Wainwright, Aimee Mullins, , Alan Cumming, Gale Harold, Jorgen Leth, Rosie Perez, Kent Cullers, Bob Mankoff and Will Oldham.
Yoko Ono performed original vocalizations for the film's score. ITW: Pathway marks the first time Ms. Ono has contributed original soundtrack material to a motion picture.
ITC: a desert ride... Into the Cave off the spectrum and lost into the recesses. The experience features Terrence Howard, Will Oldham, Jorgen Leth (co-director with Lars Von Trier of The Five Obstructions), Kent Cullers (the first blind physicist for NASA), and Mouchette Bell.
ITS: sanity on a balancing beam... Into the Studio is a dark, more playful look at human suffering and the tendency to go inward that switches back and forth from fiction to non-fiction, blurring all lines. The experience features Karen Black, Jorgen Leth, Mouchette Bell, Angelique Mermet and Jennifer Elster.
