The Cusars is a rock band formed in 2000 on Tennessee, USA. The band consists of Susan Cavanaugh (lead vocals and keyboard), Sierra Fitz (backing vocals and rhythm guitar), Emily Wright (bass guitar) and Liz Boss (drums). Their first single, "Honey Bixa" was released in 3 May 2001. They were signed to the Mesa Records after their first single. After one year, things were not going well with Mesa Records, so they created their own label, Simsi Records. History Sierra and Emily were cousins, so even living in different cities, they kept in touch and were friends. They went to Belmont together. When they got there, they stayed in different places of the campus. Emily met Susan, who studied in the same class of her, and was her room mate. Sierra, Emily and Susan became friends started an acoustic project, called Tablettes. Liz went to Belmont and happened to stay at Sierra's room. Soon, she joined the project that changed the name to The Cusars. They started to play at pubs. In the beginning, they played covers and after a while, they started to write their own songs. In 2001, they finished their first album. Their first single "Honey Bixas" was released on the internet, and was approved by the public. A few days later, the album "The Knife Is On The Table" came out. Surprisely the album was a huge success and the single wouldn't stop playing on the radios. It was such a success, that Mesa Records signed a label contract. One year later they quit Mesa Records, starting their own label, and released their second album. Members Susan Cavanaugh Susan Lily Cavanaugh was born on February 23, 1983 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her parents divorced and she moved out to Nashville with her mother and sister. She studied Business Administration at the Belmont University. Sierra Fitz Sierra Amanda Fitz was born on August 13, 1983. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and moved out to Nashville with 14 years old. She studied Music at the Belmont University. Emily Wright Emily Loris Wright was born on July 3, 1983. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee. When she turned 16, she moved out to Nashville, to study Business Administration at the Belmont University. Liz Boss Elizabeth Catharine Boss was born on March 11, 1983. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She studied Organizational Leadership and Communication at the Belmont University. The Albums The Knife Is On The Table The Knife Is On The Table was their first album. It was inspired on bands like Final Round, Queen and The Cure. The album brings something new: Honesty and aggressiveness to the songs. The single "Honey Bixa" was released on 3 May, and the album was released in 19 May 2001. 1. Honey Bixa 2. Table 3.
