The Clauberg Opera

The Clauberg Opera are a four-piece Experimental band from Kingston Upon Hull, England, that formed in Winter 2002.
History
In 2006 the band signed to Sound Devastation Records who released their debut album New Folk Devils.
Their second full-length album, Church, saw the band take a radical new direction away from heavy, distorted soundscapes toward a sound that is more Ambient and Gospel.
Parts of the album were recorded in various churches located in the Yorkshire countryside. The album has also been noted for its use of sounds produced by GRISTLEISM machine.
Live performances are rare, and infamous for their unpredictable and destructive nature. It is typical for the band to ditch a rehearsed set-list and play an entirely improvised piece of music.
