The Browser

The Browser is a website recommending reading on the web. The site consists of three sections - a 'Best of the Moment' collection of links to journalism and essays, informal blogs from contributors under the heading 'Browsings', and expert book recommendations in the FiveBooks section.
Robert Cottrell, formerly of the Financial Times and The Economist, edits the Best of the Moment section and novelist Anna Blundy edits the FiveBooks section.
FiveBooks interviews predominantly feature experts in international affairs and economics, although lighter interviews (including Nigel Slater on cookbooks and Jeffrey Archer on the bestseller) are also published.
Several interviews, including one in which former UK Foreign Secretary David Owen alleged that Tony Blair had argued in favour of the EU presidency with the intention of claiming it himself, have broken news and been taken up by the national press.
