Career (Management/Consultant) Andrew Frances has a track record of developing artists' careers and has been well respected in the music management business for more than two decades. His clients have included Garth Brooks, David Bowie, Logins/Messina, Oak Ridge Boys, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Wang Chung, Kitty Bruce, The Alarm, Benny Mardones and others. Highlights Andrew Frances is a music industry professional. At 13 he was one of the lucky few to be in the audience at the Ed Sullivan theater for the US debut of the Beatles. It set the course for his entire career path. After he graduated from the prestigious High School of the Performing Arts and Northwestern University, Frances became an award winning Talent Executive via his company: Adwater & Stir, an entertainment industry management consultancy group based in Nashville and Los Angeles. His clients have included such disparate clients as David Bowie and Garth Brooks. David Bowie is a rock legend and Brooks became the biggest selling solo artist in the history of US music business, selling well in excess of 200 million albums prior to retiring. Additional clients included Andrew Lloyd Weber and Buffalo Springfield and Poco vet Jimmy Messina, whom Frances reunited with Kenny Loggins for their first concert in 15 years (a recording project followed). Other managed clients included members of Wang Chung, The Oak Ridge Boys and The Alarm to name a few. Frances was also appointed president of Atlantic Recording Group's North/South Records based in Nashville and Los Angeles, and where he was responsible for the debut release of Garth Brook’s sister and band mate “Betsy”. His music label work also included executive positions at RSO (Atlantic), RCA, Millennium, Chameleon (Capitol), and Audiomatic (Warner). During the latter stint Frances brought Music impresario Mike Curb and his eponymous music company into the Warner fold, increasing their market share by 4% overall. As Executive VP at Chameleon Frances sparked the commercial resurgence of roots oriented blues music via John Lee Hooker's "The Healer" (featuring Bonnie Rait, Carlos Santana and others). The CD went gold in various territories and garnered a Grammy award. Chameleon distributed hit indy diskery Epitaph Records (Red Cross, Bad Religion, Offspring, Rancid, etc.). Frances Executive Produced dozens of music videos and was also involved in the ground breaking multi-million dollar "Bowie Bonds". Frances was the first music exec to consider and develop alternative direct CD/DVD distribution, bypassing tradition label/record stores, in favor of more heavily trafficked locations: MacDonald's, Nike and WalMart. More recently, Frances embraced the internet music "wave" by becoming the Chief Marketing Officer of iFanz.com, an internet-based merchandizing and licensing entertainment content company, in Los Angeles and London. iFanz is a division of McCartney.com operated by Paul McCartney’s stepsister Ruth.
