The Batten Twins

The Batten Twins, namely Bart and Brad, are a professional wrestling tag team in World Championship Wrestling, National Wrestling Alliance and various other independent wrestling promotions comprised of real-life twins Bart and Brad Batten.

History
The Batten Twins, both born on September 8, 1958, were trained by the Poffo family. (Angelo Poffo, Randy Poffo and Lanny Poffo) Their first match was on May 12, 1983 against Tony Falk and Doug Vines.

In 1985, The Batten Twins moved on to NWA's Central States territory and had a long feud with Sheik Abdullah The Great and his tag team partners (either being Akio Sato or Tarzan Goto). In May 1986, The Batten Twins defeated a young duo of Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels, The Midnight Rockers for the NWA Central States tag team titles.

After finishing their time in that territory, The Batten Twins went to Puerto Rico to compete in the World Wrestling Council with considerable success. They also wrestled for among others World Class called the U.S. Express, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, World Organization Of Wrestling(WOW) and many other us indies. Rumor has it that they also appeared on Jerry Springer. They fought over this woman. Bart would make love to her and then Brad would come home and Bart would hide in the bathroom. It also was rumored that the woman thought they were the same person and really confused.

The Batten Twins announced their retirement in April of 2005.
