The 614 Volume 1 is a documentary type film made and released in 2006. It was released by Penoli Entertainment as addressed on its MySpace Music account. Information "The 614 Volume 1" is about crime in Columbus, Ohio. Mainly the entire film is footage of fights occurring in what they refer to as "the ghettos" of Columbus. The tape was even advertised with a short minute and a half clip from the film, narrated by the song "We Came To Bang" by Capwan The Savage. The number 614 refers to the area code of Columbus. Volumes 2 and 3 are due to be released later, and will focus on the city's west and south sides. Controversy The film has been criticised publicly by the Columbus Division of Police. In an interview on WBNS-10TV Eyewitness News, a Columbus police officer said that the film is not helping the problems in Columbus, but is rather making it worse. The police department says it does not appear that the maker of the film did anything illegal, but they are afraid that this movie will exploit the problem and may make it worse.
