Terrence Keith Ashwin

Terrence Keith Ashwin (born 8 October 1956) better known as Terry Ashwin is a South African inventor. Terry developed the first battery operated (active) Identification System today known as Active RFID. He developed a number of additional features that made this product even more unique. The additional features included the following:
* Programmability via a magnetic switch
* A Monitoring System consisting of various components.
With these features Terry's invention was referred to as "The new security technology links-it all together".
The product was commercially known as Link-IT and was awarded the prestigious 'Security Industry's Finest New Product Showcase' award at the ISC EXPO, Las Vegas 2000. Terry's invention (Link-IT) was discussed on a live program,Net Insider, with a panel that included two international experts.
Terry developed in excess of 80 products since he started his career in 1977.
