Envicon The winning website Envicon was created on the topic of environmental conservation. The name supposedly comes from a mixture of the two words "Environmental" and "Conservation". The website makes use of modern web technologies such as AJAX and Adobe Flash. It consists of only one page; on which all of the sections are contained. It also consists of a flash powered slideshow which displays scenic photographs of Qatar. The website is primarily composed of five major sections, namely the front page, a blog, an image gallery, a contact section, and frequently asked questions.
The front page contains a brief introduction to the website, as well as the latest articles as posted in the blog. The blog includes articles and tips as to how individuals can become more environmentally friendly. The image gallery contains 25 scenic photographs of Qatar displayed in a grid view, highlighting the corniche, the new pearl islands and the other various landmarks around Qatar. The contact section consists of a contact form which uses AJAX to submit messages to the website's support department, as well as links to the new websites in Qatar. The frequently asked questions section answers many of the popular environment related questions.
