Ted Staunton

Ted Staunton is a Canadian children's to young adult author as well as a musician.
Personal life
Ted Staunton was born in Toronto. He received his education at the University of Toronto. In His free time he likes to perform with his band the "Maple Leaf Champions Jug Band". He also likes to read, run and listen to music. Staunton volunteers with CODE Canada which helps bring Literacy to everyone around the world. In his time of volunteering with CODE Ted has gone to Ethiopia multiple times.
Career
Ted writes children books for children and Young Adults. His Career started in 1983 with his first book: "Puddleman". It was a picture book, and from there Ted has written many books. Some of his latest books that he has written include: "Who I'm Not?" which won him the John Spray Mystery Award, "Jump Cut", and "Power Chord". Ted does more than just write, he also speaks and performs at multiple schools and libraries across Canada. He oftentimes brings his banjo along with him to the different schools. Ted Staunton also teaches a course at George Brown College and Haliburton School of the Arts called Writing for Children.
Ted Staunton is the designer of all the fonts in The Sherwood Type Collection.
