Technology development in Ukraine in the 21st century

The problem of development of technologies in Ukraine is very topical because the country's place in the world depends on the level of technological development. At the moment, the development of technologies in Ukraine is not too high. This is confirmed by statistics currently world market of high technology products is 2.3 trillion dollars a year, the share of Ukraine does not exceed 0,005% of its volume.
In the past our country had a very sad page for science. Almost all of the 20th century Ukraine was in the USSR and therefore almost all the inventions of Ukrainian scientists were appropriated by Russia. After the Soviet Union collapse, Ukraine has lost almost all scientific potential and consequently lost its position in the world. Such prominent people as Vernadsky, Krylov, Efremov, Zabolotny and Bogomolets took active part in the development of science of Ukraine in 20th century. Unfortunately, all these scientists and their achievements were in the past.
Solutions of problems of technological development
First, Ukraine needs to choose several areas of technological development. The best are:
*development of equipment for metallurgical and chemical industries
*invention and implementation of new innovations in medicine
Second, Ukraine needs to create appropriate conditions for scientific work (sufficient funding, creation of laboratories, etc.).
In Ukraine there are large numbers of young inventors and scientists but where it says as in Ukraine. They do not have enough opportunities to implement their ideas in practice. Many young scientists get the opportunity to realize their inventions abroad.

Consequently, technology development in Ukraine is now at a very low level through various reasons. However, if the worthy conditions for work of young scientists and a decent material basis for realization of their projects will be created this level can be significantly increased.
