Technological University of Pereira School of Chemistry

The School of Chemistry at the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira is a public scientific and technological development built on the correlation of the processes of research, teaching and extension through undergraduate and graduate programs in chemistry and instrumental laboratory services to different industries, chemical, pharmaceutical, natural products to the agricultural, mining, regulation and standardization.
History
Beginning in 1968 with the program activities of chemical laboratory, Chemical Technology named later.
Through an agreement in February 1998 the council superiors approved the curriculum of the undergraduate program Industrial Chemistry the first and only program in the country and with the agreement febrerodel October 16, 2000, adopted the agenda as profecionalización for technologists chemists, the first cohort starting in the second half of the year.
With the agreement 8 April 12, 2004, is giving rise to a daytime program of Industrial Chemistry, expanding the educational offerings of the university graduates.
Accreditation
In February 2007 he received the decision by the Ministry of Education accreditation of high quality.
On December 10, 2009 received the order Luis López de Mesa.
Becoming the best school of Chemistry of the country.
