Russ Salzberg

Russ Salzberg is the sports director and lead sports anchor of WWOR-TV's My9 News, and WNYW-TV's FOX 5 News. He has also served as Sports Anchor at CITY-TV in Toronto, Canada. He joined My9 News in October 1988. Salzberg was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1969 and attended Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec. Prior to joining CITY-TV, he was morning sportscaster at CILQ-FM (Q-107) in Toronto, and prior to that position, he hosted live sports telecasts for the Rogers Cablesystems Community TV station in Toronto. Prior to Rogers, Salzberg was a realtor in the Greater Toronto area. |
